ABOUT THE PROJECT

  Almost 60 years have already passed since the bloodiest War in the history of the Mankind had been finished. The battlefields, where a lot of soldiers died, are now covered with the grass. The veterans, evidents of all those events, are becoming older and going away. We must not and can not allow these reminiscences about the tragic and glorious days dissapear from our memory. The whole world respects and keeps carefully the memoirs about those famous and unknown heroes, who had protected our rights to live, to work and to be happy paying their lives for it.
Taking part in the project, the students of different schools from different cities and countries will be able to tell all people about their compatriots, the heroes of the World War II, whose names are not so famous. The books about them are not still written, the monuments of them are not still built. But the memoirs about them are kept carefully in family archives and family albums, in the hearts of their children and grandchildren.
The participants will know a lot about the heroic deeds of the soldiers from the countries of Anti-Hitler Coalition, they'll play a role of journalists writing about the glorious history of their ancestors. It'll give personal meanings to the knowledge they'll get. The project promises to be miscellaneous, because the participants will have to show their creative abilities, historical education, knowledge of English and abilities to manage new computer technologies. The project is held for the students of high grades. The team participation is supposed.
