          Hordes Wingate was born February, 26, 1903 in India in family of the military man. Having chosen career of the militaries, Hordes Wingate entered in Royal military academy in Vulvich, and after its brilliant graduation in 1923 was sent to an artillery part. During service regarding Wingate took a great interest in the Arabian language and mastered it so well, that soon command sent him first to Sudan, and then in 1936 to Palestine. In the same year he became captains. In Palestine Wingate organized « special night groups ». He developed tactics of night operations and got experience of guerrilla war. In summer 1940 the British command created confidential Management of special. Operations (SOYA) for conducting war in rear of the opponent. At the SOYA it was organized the division “Gideon“, which was headed by major Wingate. The Task "Gideon" became struggle against the Italian armies in northeast of Africa. At the beginning of April, 1941 "Gideon" the victory was gained by “Gideon” at Debra- Marcos above forces of the opponent surpassing in many times, and the capital of Ethiopia Addis – Abeba was released in May, 5. In 1942 Wingate received a grade of the foreman and was sent to India. Wilwell offered him to generate « groups of penetration of distant action » for the organization of guerrilla actions in the Japanese communications in jungle of Burma. He named his groups "chindits" by name of the mythological animal. Chinse which was represented as a lion and it protected the entrances in Buddhist temples. "Chindits" jumped with parachutes on the Japanese rear, flied in the air, and held the communication on a portable radio set. They destroyed the communications of the opponent, attacked outposts and destroyed ferries. The first large operation "Chindits" organized in February, 1943, having forwarded in Burma through the river Chindwin. Actions " Chindits " highly were appreciated by Charles and the English public. Wingate was invited to the conference of allies to Quebec where also discussed of the further development of war in Asia. After the conference Wingate became in the general - major. March, 24, 1944 Wingate was lost in aviation accident.
