Despite Three Deaths. ...When the army (less than a half of people) left the attack, the commander Mikhail Nikitin took of the phoneshelm, said to the tankmen: “Our friends didn’t return from the battle. We are very sorry, but war is war. Let’s swear to punish our enemies for our friends”. The commander took off the gun and shot the air. That was an order in the 3rd tank army. It’s very difficult to write about a front friend. I remember some moments, which make me shiver. Nikitin’s army was in the Sandomir sqare and hurried to the attack. His cars were near tanks. Nikitin was a very talented commander. By some period several tanks moved on high speed. Omsk citizen Nikitin keeps in his property two awards, twelve medals (including Setting Prague and Varshava Free, “Capture of Berlin”). The war ended for Nikitin 3 months later after the victory. In Poland forests there were a lot of Vlasov’s and Bender’s people. Getting them out of the car was impossible without tankmen. In the begining of August 1945 when many people returned home. During combing a dense large forest, near the place Bokhnya, panzerfaust, let out by the traitor, has got into an onboard tank with fuel. Flashed fuel has clouded the machine with a black dense cloud. But the people managed to save themselves. It was the 3rd case when the tankman Nikitin survived. After the end of the war Mikhail Ivanovich Nikitin put his life for children. School № 66 became so native for him, and Siberian Plant played important role in his life too. In this Plant his students from school №66 practiced in working. 0n the 6th of July 2004 Mikhail Ivanovich celebrated his 80 years.
